Tearfocus eye drops is a hypo-osmolar ocular surface modulator containing 20 % chondroitin sulfate.

Apply 1 drop as needed depending on severity of symptoms, on average 2 – 4 times daily.

Age Group	Recommendation	Rationale
Neonates (< 6 weeks)	Safe under veterinary supervision for therapeutic use (e.g., ophthalmia neonatorum, congenital entropion, exposure keratitis). Avoid routine prophylactic use in healthy neonates.	Tear film and corneal epithelium are still developing; controlled therapeutic lubrication provides protection and promotes epithelial healing when infection or trauma is present.
≥ 6 weeks (juveniles and adults)	Safe for routine daily use at label dose.	Ocular surface and tear film are fully developed; tear substitutes well tolerated.

Possesses anti-inflammatory and immunomodulating properties.
Has an affinity for the anterior corneal surface and given its viscosity and Newtonian nature minimizes the transmission of shear forces onto the corneal epithelial surface.
Chondroitin sulfate plays an influential role in pluripotent stem cell biology.
Product viscosity ensures long corneal contact time.
